One Direction songs to be performed in sign language

A number of One Direction songs will be translated into sign language as part of 2013 Deaf Awareness Week.

Norfolk County Council's Sensory Support Unit is hosting an event next Wednesday (May 8) to highlight the support deaf people can receive in the area.

A host of deaf children from local schools will perform songs from the likes of One Direction in British Sign Language.

The event will take place at the Forum in Norwich between 10am-3pm with free hearing aid checks available.

As previously reported, director Morgan Spurlock recently revealed that the upcoming One Direction film will see a doctor look at what happens in a fan's brain and body when they listen to the band.
