One Direction refused entry to a private members club in London

Boy band sensation One Direction were recently refused entry to a nightclub in London.

The ‘Kiss You’ quintet were turned away due to their outfits not meeting the establishment’s smart dress code.

When One Direction tried to enter 5 Hertford Street they were stopped by club doorman Claude Achaumé.

As reported by The Telegraph, fans at the scene asked the doorman if he knew who the five lads he was turning away were to which Achaumé replied: “They're going in one direction, and that’s away from here.”

5 Hertford Street is a £28 million private members club in Mayfair owned by Robin Birley. The club’s annual membership fee is an estimated £1,500 plus a joining fee of £750.

One Direction previously had problems with not being recognised after Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne were banned from playing on slot machines at a motorway service station as they had no proof of their age.
