One Direction's Harry Styles writes songs with Snow Patrol

Harry Styles has indulged in some writing sessions with Northern Irish pop-rock group Snow Patrol.

The news was confirmed by band mainman Gary Lightbody, who told The Sun that it was a "lot of fun".

However, it is said that any tracks procured from the sessions will be used for One Direction and not a possible Harry Styles solo project.

Lightbody added that he isn't sure whether or not the songs will be used by the band. He said:

"We wrote with Harry [Styles]. It was a lot of fun. He’s a real dude actually. We’ve no idea if those songs will make it yet, though. It’s a long process. It’s great to work with other people - it’s good to flex the muscle."

The Snow Patrol sessions comes only a few months after some of the One Direction lads teamed up with the Vaccines' frontman Justin Young to write some tracks.
