One Direction hit back at Noel Gallagher criticism: 'At the end of the day, his kids come to our shows'

UK based boyband One Direction have admitted that while musician Noel Gallagher's negative comments about them were annoying, they expected him to bash them because they're a pop group.

Speaking to GQ magazine, heartthrob Louis Tomlinson explained that they know what Gallagher is like and had already predicted that he wouldn't ever describe them as a cool band so it wasn't a big deal:

"At the end of the day you kind of want Noel Gallagher to be a knob. You expect him to be a knob. That's cool in a way. He says s**t like that but that's definitely what we would expect from someone like him. He's predictable."

Singer Harry Styles chipped in and added: "It's easy to have a pop at the kids from X Factor. Thing is, his kids are coming to our show."

Earlier this year at the 2013 BRIT Awards in London, Gallagher told press that the highlight of the ceremony for him was hanging out with Blur's Damon Albarn and 'telling One Direction to get lost': "We got absolutely drunk and told One Direction to go away in unison, that was the highlight of the night."
