A trailer for an upcoming documentary about One Direction fans has emerged.

As previously reported, UK broadcaster Channel 4 is due to show Crazy About One Direction on August 15.

It is set to examine the relationship fans have with the band, looking at everything from gay fan fiction to death threats.

A new trailer - which can be viewed here - has now been unveiled ahead of the documentary's airing.

It sees a number of fans speaking about the group as Channel 4 looks ahead to the programme, which has been directed by Daisy Asquith.

Speaking previously about the documentary, Asquith said: "This film will offer a fascinating insight into a new kind of idol worship. Social media communities connect millions of fans in a way that was never possible before. It’s the ‘Narnia’ that is their online fandom."
