One Direction fans camp out in numbers as This Is Us film premiere looms

Hundreds of One Direction fans have braved the elements to secure access to the band's film premiere in London.

The 'Kiss You' lads are unveiling their upcoming movie This Is Us today (August 20) in Leicester Square.

It has attracted massive interest and the Telegraph reports that up to 700 Directioners camped out overnight in the hope of getting a wristband to attend the premiere.

16-year-old Chloe, who left her home at 2am on Monday (August 19) to camp in line, told the newspaper:

"The security they have for premieres is quite protective. Last night two men came up to us and a policewoman told the men to move. The police make sure we’re safe."

This Is Us meanwhile is due to hit public cinema screens from August 29.
