One Direction star Liam Payne has revealed that he recently recorded a track Miguel.

However, the British singer was "really, really drunk" and had to be reminded of the session the day after.

The 'Kiss You' man made the revelation in an interview with The Sun as he promotes One Direction's new film This Us Us.

Payne said that he ended up inebriated after meeting US star Miguel in a recording studio, with the pair ultimately cutting a track to tape. He added:

"But as for the song, I want to try and give it to someone because I think it’s a really good dance song. Don’t worry, I’ve listened to it sober."

In the same interview, Payne admitted that he is no longer caring about keeping up a clean image. He said:

"Let’s just say I haven’t been keeping up the Gary Barlow persona, I’ve let loose. It’s a new dawn for Liam. I’m having a laugh now. I’ve let loose in the sense that I haven’t got that much to worry about any more."
