Zayn Malik: "Fans jump on me"

One Direction heartthrob Zayn Malik is used to getting "jumped on" by fans.

The star along with bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne are currently busy promoting their 3D movie 'This Is Us'.

Malik says the attention they garner can get intense.

Speaking to British magazine Star he explained: "It's always interesting. Normally they scream and there's a bit of a shake. They kinda jump on you, but it's cool either way. It gets overwhelming. Too much? No, definitely not."

Malik struggles with dance moves, which initially made him have doubts about staying in the band after they were formed during the 2010 UK series of The X Factor.

He quipped: "It doesn't haunt me, it makes me laugh when I look back, and that might have been the case and I could have blown it. I'm glad I went back and we did it - and that we decided we were a band that wouldn't do too much dancing."

One Direction are currently taking a break from their gruelling Take Me Home world tour schedule, and are set to resume their concert dates on September 23 in Australia.
