Liam Payne thanks fans for support after flat fire troubles

One Direction star Liam Payne has shown his appreciation for his fans after a "tough" few days.

As previously reported, the singer was hailed as something of a hero after "saving the life" of his friend Andy Samuels following a fire on his balcony.

The incident happened at Payne's London apartment on Monday night (September 2) and his friend was said to have been taken to intensive care with burns.

The 'Kiss You' man has now broken his silence on Twitter, saying:

"Thanks for all the support at this time it's been a tough few days and it's only made me value everything so much more."

Payne then tweeted a fan: "He's doing really well I'm just so happy he's gunna be ok no one wants to see there best mate like this."

The singer then concluded by poignantly tweeting Samuels to say: "The invincible man."
