Boyband One Direction have delighted fans around the globe today by announcing details about their forthcoming new studio album.

Entitled 'Midnight Memories', the record is due to be released on November 25 although it will be available to pre-order from next Monday (September 9).

This will be the heartthrobs' third full-length offering and member Harry Styles took to his official Twitter page a few hours ago to tell his followers that he's excited about the cut, writing "I think you'll like it".

'Midnight Memories' has since become one of the top ten worldwide trending topics on the social networking site and the band's followers are clearly excited about the news.

Pop-rockers McFly recently admitted that a song they wrote for One Direction's new album has just been recorded by the superstars and is likely to be included on the final tracklisting: "We've got a new track on their album. One Direction are so similar to us, but they're on a global scale."
