Footballer Gabriel Agbonlahor apologises for injuring One Direction's Louis Tomlinson

Aston Villa footballer Gabriel Agbonlahor has apologised to One Direction's Louis Tomlinson for taking the singer out of a recent charity game with a meaty tackle.

The 'Kiss You' star appeared at Celtic Park in Glasgow on Sunday (September 8) to help raise money for charities picked by former player Stiliyan Petrov, who retired earlier this year due to cancer.

It wasn't the best day at the office for Tomlinson, however, who was subbed off after being fouled by Agbonlahor. He then vomited on the side of the pitch.

The professional player revealed after the match that he will say sorry to Tomlinson for his over-eager challenge.

Agbonlahor said: "It was one of those things. I'll apologise to Louis when we meet up with everybody after the game. I know he enjoyed playing in the game and it's fantastic that he took time out to be here, and the same with everyone else who played."
