One Direction confirm 'This Is Us' extended edition to be released in more countries

Earlier this week it was revealed that a special 'fan cut' of One Direction's new movie, 'This Is Us', is set to be released, but is only due to come out in the USA and Canada.

Now, heartthrob Niall Horan has teased his followers on Twitter by confirming that the extended edition of the film won't be limited to North America and will now get a wider release, although details about this are yet to be shared.

He tweeted (September 11): "You crazy mofos wanted more songs in @1DThisIsUS…so you got it! Extended fan cut will be in America this weekend! Don't worry guys! Fan cut coming to more countries soon!"

Sony's marketing and distribution chief, Jeff Blake, originally commented: "We're overwhelmed by the response to the film, so we’re thrilled to be able to release this extended cut of the film for One Direction fans. Followers can reach out on Twitter @1DThisIsUs with the songs they’d like to hear in the film – and go to the theater on Friday, September 13 to see and hear which songs make the cut."

Meanwhile, the lads' brand new album has topped iTunes charts around the world as a result of the overwhelming number of pre-orders. 'Midnight Memories' will be officially released on November 25.
