One Direction extend 'Where We Are' tour with new UK and EU dates

UK based boyband One Direction promised fans an exciting announcement would be made today (September 19) and they have kept their word with the confirmation of additional European tour dates.

A message posted to the lads' group Twitter page earlier explained: "NEWSFLASH! Extra dates added for #WhereWeAreTour across Europe!"

Irish heartthrob Niall Horan took to his social networking account and told his 14.4 million followers: "We are taking our 2014 stadium tour to Europe! Cant wait to see more of our fans!! Croke Park, we have another date! Amazing!"

The 'Best Song Ever' superstars will now perform additional dates in the UK on May 30, 2014 at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester and on June 6 at London's Wembley Stadium. They will then head to Ireland for a third date at Dublin's Croke Park on May 23. The new European dates will take place in June and July in Paris, Barcelona, and Milan as well as other cities.

Member Louis Tomlinson revealed that the constant support they get from their home fans allowed them to add the new concerts to their schedule, so they're incredibly grateful for their Directioners: "Thank you, without you we would not have added extra UK & Ireland dates :)"
