One Direction heartthrob Liam Payne has opened up about strange fan experiences and revealed that he had a peculiar run in with a follower recently where he was given someone's house keys. 

Speaking to Britain's InStyle magazine, the 'Best Song Ever' hitmaker explained that one over-excited fan ran up to him and handed him a set of keys:

"Someone tried to give me her house keys... There wasn't even an address on them, she just said, 'Take them'. What did she think was going to happen?"

Payne also took to his official Twitter page last week and thanked fans for support following the death of his grandfather, whose funeral he was unable to attend due to being in Australia for tour:

"Thanks for everyone's support at this hard time obviously this has been a tough few weeks for me I've never been through anything like this. And your support means the world so thanks guys night x."
