One Direction have premiered the lyrics to their new single.

The lads are due to release their latest track 'Story of My Life' on Monday (October 28), but it will receive radio play today (October 25).

The song, which will feature on the group's upcoming third album 'Midnight Memories', has now been previewed through the release of its lyrics.

The track opens with the line: "Written in these walls are the stories that I can't explain/I leave my heart open but it stays right here empty for days."

The chorus meanwhile features the words: "The story of my life I take her home/I drive all night to keep her warm and time is frozen."

The quintet previously released a short snippet of the song and fans are eagerly awaiting its radio debut.

The boys meanwhile are currently in Australia and New Zealand on their Take Me Home tour before heading to Japan at the start of November.
