One Direction fans got the chance to meet their idols yesterday (November 18) as the group held a rare book signing.

Lovers of the group had the opportunity recently to snap up tickets to attend the signing in London, with the event's location kept secret until the last minute.

It took place yesterday evening at the Alexandra Palace, with hundreds of fans attending.

The group looked relaxed as they put pen to paper on copies of their book Where We Are, which was released in August.

It is their third book, following 2011's Forever Young and 2012's Dare to Dream: Life as One Direction.

The boyband meanwhile are due to release their new album 'Midnight Memories' on Monday (November 25).

However, it leaked online early yesterday (November 18) - much to the annoyance of member Niall Horan.
