One Direction confirmed for 'Saturday Night Live' performance

UK based boyband One Direction have been announced as the musical guests for the December 7 episode of 'Saturday Night Live' in America.

The lads will perform live on the show, which will be hosted by American actor Paul Rudd who is set to promote his new movie, 'Anchorman: The Legend Continues', and they made their SNL debut last year.

They also recently spoke to Digital Spy about their new album, 'Midnight Memories', which is due to be released on Monday, November 25, and explained that despite the fact that it leaked ahead of schedule they're excited by the feedback is has already received. Niall Horan said:

"The reaction's been great. From what we've seen on Twitter, it's going down well. But we would have prefered to have seen the reaction next week."

Harry Styles added: "It's just nice to have an impact. If there was an album I liked and I could listen to it a week before, I probably would. It's just nice to have that moment where it builds up to, 'Now it's out and everyone can listen to it'. Ultimately, it's for the fans to listen to."
