One Direction on new tour: 'We've got some big ideas for the new live show'

UK based boyband One Direction have opened up about their brand new album, 'Midnight Memories', and their career to date in a new interview with Billboard.

When asked how their own musical tastes manifested in the making of their new record, singer Harry Styles explained that different influences can definitely be heard throughout the tracklisting: "I think we all have really different taste in music, Niall's really into his 80's rock and you know Zayn and Liam are more into R&B. I think you can really feel our musical influences throughout the album."

Heartthrob Niall Horan confessed that he often suffers from bouts of homesick, but is lucky enough to tour with his best friends: "Luckily, I have my four best mates on the road with me to keep me from getting lonely. Of course we all miss home at times. Who wouldn't, being on the road all year long? Wouldn't give it up for anything though."

On the topic of touring, the superstars admitted that they feel incredibly lucky to be able to travel the world performing their music and Zayn Malik explained that there are no specific rituals they go through before running onto the stage, but they like to have fun: "We're all pretty chilled before a show, we'll put some music on in the dressing room and be a bit silly, make jokes, it's not a stressful environment!"

Liam Payne added that the 'Midnight Memories' stadium tour should be fantastic, teasing: "The stadium tour is gonna be incredible! It will be our biggest crowd yet, we've got some big ideas for how it will all come together and we can't wait to hear the audience sing back the songs we wrote."
