One Direction have topped a list of the UK's most searched for personalities.

Yahoo UK have revealed who the public have searched for the most this year and the 'Kiss You' lads have come out top.

They beat Miley Cyrus (No.2) and Kim Kardashian (No.3) to the title.

Bing UK meanwhile have confirmed Justin Bieber was their most searched for person in 2013.

In second place on their list is Beyoncé, whilst Kate Middleton is No.3.

Their data is somewhat different to their US counterparts, who revealed recently that Beyoncé, Kardashian and Rihanna were their top three.

Bieber, however, only landed at No.6 on their list.
