One Direction have been named the bestselling Top Trumps set this Christmas.

The lads are no stranger to topping lists and they have another under their belt after the card game company revealed their most popular products this festive season.

They have beaten the likes of Doctor Who and The Hobbit to reign supreme in the Top Trumps Christmas top ten.

Second on the bestselling list is Monster High whilst Dinosaurs and World Football Stars 2013/14 come in at third and fourth place respectively.

The game sees competitors battle against each other using their cards' attributes. The company said in a statement:

"Top Trumps is the must have for every stocking this Christmas. A firm playground favourite since it first hit shop shelves in the late 1970s, to date over 70 million packs have been sold worldwide."
