Cooking up what is sure to be the best Tina Turner Heritage Days to date, the Oprah Winfrey Network Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s star and former Ikette Miss Robbie Montgomery will be signing her latest book Sweetie Pie’s Cookbook at the Tina Turner Museum during the fifth annual celebration on Saturday, September 24th at 2 PM. 

“We are honored that Miss Robbie is taking time out of her busy schedule to make a stop at our fifth annual Tina Turner Heritage Days,” says West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center Executive Director Sonia Outlaw-Clark.  “Her soul food recipes are sure to be a hit in the fans households and her stories as a back-up singer and dancer for our hometown icon are going to create a priceless event for Tina’s most devoted fans.”  

Fans can attend the conversation with Miss Robbie Montgomery and acquire an autographed copy of her latest book on site at the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center on Saturday, September 24th beginning at 2PM.  To get a full overview of the weekend’s activities, see below: 

Friday, September 23rd

Tickets to the event can be purchased on site or in advance at www.tinaturnerheritagedays.com. Packages including a tour and admission to the nightly show are available for $30.  Separately, tour tickets are $10 each and a seat at the tribute show are $20 each.

About Tina Turner Museum at Flagg Grove School

What’s Love Got to Do with It? Everything --- a love of Tina Turner’s music and pop culture legacy, a love of historic preservation, a love of local communities and most of all a love for honoring the memories of those that traversed through the doors of Flagg Grove School. Via a special video that was filmed on the set of her latest IO commercial in Switzerland, Tina recalled the impact of education on her career. “Everyone has a dream, but I have to say that your dreams cannot work without education,” says Tina. “It’s essential. It goes hand in hand. These days you must communicate with people. If you want to run your business, you need to have an education or you will have to depend on someone else and that is not always comfortable. I hope that as people walk through the school they see that I set an example for a home town girl that grew up in hard times that made a good life for herself and to follow by example.” To date, over 574 million unique media impressions have been acquired on the museum. It also received nine coveted awards from the Tennessee Association of Museum at their 2015 awards ceremony.  Designed by renowned interior designer Stephen Sills, the museum sanctioned by Tina features multiple costumes from designers Bob Mackie, Giorgio Armani and Versace, gold record awards and photos from Tina’s personal collection. The exhibit, which is free for all visitors, is located adjacent to the WTDHC at 121 Sunny Hill Cove, Brownsville, TN 38012.
