In late July, Powerblast Worldwide released the single, “Liquor Flow” by Gino Black and quickly followed up by releasing his second “Almost Famous” on Sept. 13th. This is a strategic ‘One-Off Singles’ promotional campaign devised to elevate artist awareness, presence and maximize individual song impact. While a few major acts still manage to sell huge quantities of albums, the majority of independent acts do not. For whatever reason, whether it is the lack of quality albums these days or other economics issues; a great percentage of the buying public is going back to only buying single songs. The music business is shifting back to being a singles driven marketplace. For this reason, Gino Black will be releasing one new song every 6-8 weeks leading up to the New Year’s Eve release of his debut EP “The Assassination of Gino Black”.

Through the ‘One-Off Single’ campaign, each single is initially released as a high-quality stream, free download and comes along with accompanying video via online outlets such as; Soundcloud, Youtube and Bandcamp among others. Each Gino Black single is given away free for a promotional period of approximately 4 weeks; prior to it being officially released on iTunes and other major outlets.

“While we are only two singles in to it, the ‘One-Off Singles’ promo is showing significant traction so far...” relays Gino Black. The next single will be, “Another Moment”; [due in November] will feature electronic/indie/rock singer, She Loves No One, who is also produced by Gino Black.
