Paloma Faith turned down The Voice

Paloma Faith has revealed that she turned down the chance to appear on The Voice because she doesn't rate her own talent highly enough.

The reality TV show began two series ago and its latest line-up of judges features Kylie Minogue, will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Ricky Wilson.

Faith told the Daily Star, however, that the panel could have been different. She said:

"Yes, they did offer me The Voice, but I didn't feel it was right. I don't like the idea of eliminating people because I don't feel confident enough about my own abilities to judge anybody else."

The singer meanwhile has teamed up with Samsung to take part in their Launching People talent-scouting campaign. She added:

"I don't have to [eliminate people]. This project is about celebrating someone's talent - whereas The Voice is about rejection and battles."
