Paloma Faith: 'I fell in love in New York City'

Quirky songstress Paloma Faith has confessed that relocating to New York to work on her new album wasn't just a successful move musically because she ended up meeting someone there and falling for them.

The 'Can't Rely On You' hitmaker told the press that she rented an apartment in Brooklyn for a couple of months while working on the record, entitled 'A Perfect Contradiction', and was lucky enough to meet someone great:

"In London, my life seemed to revolve around posh parties, drinking champagne and getting recognised in the street."

"So I had to leave and get back to square one in another city. When I began the album, I was miserable. I was single and feeling very disheartened by love. As the record progressed, I met someone new in New York, and that lifted my mood. It's natural to want to share your life with someone. I tend to jump in too quickly, usually with the wrong man. But this time it feels right."

Her new album was released on March 3, earlier this week, and will head out on tour in May in support of it. Faith's first live date will take place on May 23 at the Regent Theatre in Ipswich.
