Paloma's "hardcore" second album

Quirky songstress Paloma Faith has vowed to toughen up on her next album.

The English singer's debut record 'Do You Want The Truth Or Something Beautiful' found huge success with hit 'New York', but Faith has decided to take a different angle on her next effort.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Paloma revealed: “I want it to be a bit more fun and upbeat.

“I got a bit frustrated at the festivals last year when I realised that a lot of the songs on my last album are quite slow.

“I want to see people jumping up and down. It’d be cool to work with some of the UK production people on something a bit more hardcore.”

The 25-year-old BRIT nominee is currently recording in Los Angeles. Watch the video for 'New York' below:
