Paloma Faith on fame: 'I feel weird when people approach me in the supermarket'

Stylish singer Paloma Faith says that when she declines fans' requests to take photos with her it's simply because she feels like she's not working or in the role of performer.

Speaking about how she deals with fame, the '30 Minute Love Affair' star explained that her job is to be a singer so when she's going about her day and is doing things that aren't associated with her career she finds it difficult to cope with the attention:

"I think I'm quite a private person despite what I project with my personality, and I do see my work and my personal life very separate. When I don't feel like I'm working and people ask me if they can take my picture, or paparazzi jump out on me, I don't get upset I just feel it's weird.”

"Sometimes I’m just like 'I'd really rather not, do you mind? It's not me saying go away, it's me saying I feel the same as you."

She added that people approach her in the most unlikely places and she often finds herself spotted in supermarkets: "I find it very odd to deal with people wanting to have their pictures taken with me when I'm in the supermarket."
