Paloma Faith slams One Direction and Madonna ticket prices

Paloma Faith has given her opinions on the likes of One Direction and Madonna ticket sale prices.

In an interview with the Mirror, the talented beauty spoke out against high ticket prices and unoriginal live shows.

Faith used Madonna to exemplify why expensive gigs are akin to "elitism", suggesting that pop acts aren't giving value for money.

Whilst One Direction often perform with a group of session players - including drummer Josh Devine - the 'Fall To Grace' singer believes the 'Kiss You' stars and similar acts are "robotic" on stage. She said:

"Because I'm a socialist, I think it's disgusting when Madonna and co set ticket prices at £300. I don't believe in elitism."

Faith continued: "I think a lot of artists now don't have a proper band behind them. That allows you to be more spontaneous, and mix things up. A lot of the time when you go to the shows of acts like One Direction, it just sounds like the album, a pre-recorded gig. There's no banter between songs, it's all robotic. It's sad."
