Sir Paul McCartney will usher Ringo Starr into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The Beatle will induct his former bandmate during this year's ceremony on April 18 at Ohio’s Public Hall.

Starr will become the final member of the Beatles to achieve the feat.

The band are already inducted as a group, whilst McCartney, John Lennon and George Harrison entered in 1999, 1994 and 2004 respectively.

Stevie Wonder and Patti Smith will also be on hand to induct to new stars in the Hall of Fame.

Other acts due to be inducted include Lou Reed, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Green Day and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
