Sir Paul McCartney: 'I ask John Lennon for creative advice'

Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney has revealed that although his former bandmate John Lennon has been dead since 1980, he still has 'creative discussions' with his spirit when working on new material.

The late Lennon was shot by a man named Mark Chapman on December 8, 1980, and later died from the wounds, but McCartney told Rolling Stone that he still feels the icon around:

"If I'm at a point where I go, 'I'm not sure about this', I'll throw it across the room to John. He'll say, 'You can't go there, man'. And I'll say, 'You're quite right. How about this?' 'Yeah, that's better'."

"We'll have a conversation. I don't want to lose that."

The 'Blackbird' superstar's new album, entitled 'New', is currently at No.11 on the official UK Top 40 chart and the final position will be confirmed this coming Sunday, October 27.
