Paul Weller performs in London for Record Store Day

The Modfather Paul Weller takes to the stage in London today (April 20) for Record Store Day.

He performs at Rough Trade East at 8pm as part of the celebrations for the annual event, which sees special releases and rare tracks are made available to buy in over 200 record shops across the UK.

Joining him on stage are Pete O’Hanlon and Josh McClorey from huch-hyped Irish newcomers The Strypes, playing base and guitar respectively, as Jay Sharrock from Miles Kane’s band plays drums.

Weller also releases two brand new tracks for Record Store Day, titled 'Flame-Out!' and 'The Olde Original', as a double A-side single.

Paul McCartney, David Bowie, Pulp, Biffy Clyro and The xx are among a slew of artists also putting out special releases for Record Store Day.

Record Store Day is still going head today in Boston as one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was apprehended by police last night after a manhunt left the entire city on lockdown.
