Widely regarded as the largest illuminated procession in Europe, this is an event you must not miss! The atmosphere is amazing, the carnival carts electrifying and the entertainment brilliant! The anticipation starts early when the massive carnival carts begin to assemble at the line-up area in readiness for the parade. As day becomes evening the power generators kick into action bringing the carts alive with thousands and thousands of lights and massive sound systems start blaring out their evocative music. At 7pm the parade sets off from Parkway and winds its way through the streets of Bridgewater creating a spectacle that amazes and enthralls the audience. It is a sight of behold; seeing is believing!

With an estimated 100,000 taking to the streets of Bridgwater last year, this year is set to be bigger and better; Britain's Got Talent's Paul Manners and X-Factor's Stevi Ritchie (Pauvi) will be at the helm. The duo are set to host, perform and cheer on the crowds. This years carnival has already scooped the South West England Excellence Award, according to ITV news.
