Pete Doherty joins anti-fur campaign against fashion brand

Musician Pete Doherty has joined the anti-fur campaign and recently wrote a letter on behalf of animal rights group PETA on the clothing store The Kooples and why it should stop selling fur garments.

The Kooples, which is a rock and roll inspired fashion label, dropped angora wool from its range of items but still sells fur from raccoons, foxes and coyotes. Doherty, who once designed a collection for the brand, has now called for it to change this:

"Not much shocks me anymore, but PETA's undercover video exposé shot on fur farms did – it shook me to the core", writes Doherty. "It's obvious that these animals' entire lives are filled with torture .... And all for fashion? It's total bollocks."
