Pharrell's 'Happy' sells 1m copies in the UK

Pharell Williams' 'Happy' has passed the one million sales mark in the UK.

The singer unleashed the song in November last year and it has enjoyed big chart success across the globe.

It has now reached the coveted one million sales mark in the UK- the third track affiliated to Williams to do so in just eight months.

Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' and Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky' - both which feature Williams - passed the million mark last year.

That means that Williams is now only the second artist ever to have appeared on more than two singles that have sold over one million in the UK each.

The first act to do so were the Beatles.

'Happy' meanwhile will feature on Williams' upcoming new solo album 'G I R L', which will be released on March 3.
