Pharrell Williams' Grammys hat goes on display

Pharrell Williams' infamous Grammys hat has gone on display at an exhibition.

The singer turned heads at the 2014 awards ceremony when he wore an elongated, tall brown hat.

The extravagant headpiece became an internet hit as quick-witted users poked fun his fashion choice.

To mark National Hat Day in the US on Thursday (January 15), the item went on display at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles.

It forms part of the Grammy Effect exhibition and it will stay on show until mid-March.

The hat is currently owned by sandwich chain Arby's, who paid $44,100 (£27,563) for the item when it was auctioned in March last year.
