Pharrell Williams is to become the latest big name to cameo in The Simpsons.

Entertainment Weekly report that the music star will appear in the animated TV show in an episode called Walking Big & Tall.

He will play himself in a programme aired in the US on February 8, with producer Al Jean commenting that "Pharrell offers to write a new anthem" for Springfield.

An image meanwhile of Williams in Simpsons form has been released (see below) and it pictures the US star wearing his infamous Grammys hat.

The singer and musician joins an illustrious list of famous names who have appeared on The Simpsons.

The likes of Sir Paul McCartney, James Brown and Britney Spears have all made cameos.
