Pharrell Williams scores his second million-selling UK single of 2013

Singer and entrepreneur Pharrell Williams has achieved an impressive career milestone in the UK this week after 'Blurred Lines' became his second million-selling single this year.

His collaboration with Daft Punk on 'Get Lucky' passed 1 million sales back in June and his track with Robin Thicke, the aforementioned chart-topping 'Blurred Lines', has now managed the same figure giving him the record.

Speaking to the Official Charts Company about his success, the star explained: "I'm humbled by all of the love the UK fans have shown. But, when you are working with incredible talent like The Robots and Robin, great things are bound to happen."

The Official Charts Company's chief executive Martin Talbot added: "It is a further sign of the strength of the UK singles market that 'Blurred Lines' is the second track released this year to pass the million mark."

"Great credit not only to Robin Thicke and TI, but to Pharrell Williams too, who becomes a double millionaire in the space of just a month. Through 'Blurred Lines' and 'Get Lucky', Pharrell has sold two million singles in just about 16 weeks. Impressive work!"
