Pharrell Williams labelled "entertainer of the year" by Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus has been praising hit-maker Pharrell Williams.

Both stars made Entertainment Weekly’s “Entertainers of the Year” list for 2013 but the ‘We Can’t Stop’ singer named Pharrell as the artist who has had the greatest influence over her.

Miley said: I really think Pharrell [Williams] is the entertainer of the year. Not only for what he did on my record, but for what he did in the music industry in general with 'Blurred Lines' and Daft Punk.”

Cyrus and Williams collaborated on the track ‘#Getitright’ which features on the former’s current album ‘Bangerz’.

Speaking about their working relationship the 21-year-old pop star stated: “He and I were kind of on the same path, and I think that's why he and I connected. He really feels like a brother - it's more than just us working together.”

She went on: “No-one had heard from me or him in a minute, and we were just kind of brewing up what we wanted to do next and what we wanted to drop on people. He and I were on kind of a journey together, and I couldn't be more happy for him and what he accomplished this year in everything - in fashion, in art, everything he does.”

2013 has been a good year for Pharrell Williams as she has featured on two million-selling singles in the form of Daft Punk’s ‘Get Lucky’ and ‘Blurred Lined’ with Robin Thicke and T.I.
