Pitbull suggests Rihanna and Shakira have recorded duet

Pitbull has revealed that Rihanna and Shakira have been working on music together.

The blockbuster collaboration was mentioned by the US star during an interview with Kidd Kraddick in the Morning.

Speaking about his new duet track 'Timber', Pitbull said: "Ke$ha, I want to say thank you very much for giving us as amazing collaboration with 'Timber', which is doing great all around the world. With that said, that was an ironic situation there.

"The person we were looking at first to work on that record was Rihanna. There was something she had to do with Shakira, so she wasn't able to be on the record. Ke$ha is crazy, sexy, cool, wild and fun."

It backs up a tweet sent recently by Pepsi marketing man Frank Cooper, who stated that Rihanna and Shakira have indeed been collaborating. He said:

"Rihanna and Shakira working on a hot duet. Epic!"
