The event, which took place this evening at London's famous Dorchester Hotel, saw singer-songwriter Plan B, real name Ben Drew, take home the prize for Best Pop Music. His album 'The Defamation Of Strickland Banks' secured his win against tough competition from Tinie Tempah and Foals.

The 'Love Goes Down' star has just been nominated for 3 BRIT Awards and has also been added to the bill for California's famous Coachella Festival so these new dates in his diary just go to show how in demand he really is. 

He will perform in Magaluf on May 31 and San Antonio on June 1 and said of the announcement:

"This is going to be fun. I've never been to Ibiza before. I better start working out what I'm going to wear, it's going to be hard to make speedos work with my suit jacket."

This is the second studio album from Plan B, real name Ben Drew, and was released back in April of 2010. It has since gone triple Platinum in the UK and has spent an incredible 39 weeks in the chart after producing five popular singles. 

Plan B has knocked Rihanna's 'Loud' from the top spot after she finally made it to number 1 on Sunday, January 9.
