Plan B has revealed that he doesn't think he could have given the British Male Solo Artist award to anyone more deserving than Ed Sheeran.

Plan B presented Sheeran the gong at the awards ceremony on Tuesday (February 21), with the singer-songwriter eventually winning two awards on the night.

And he reckons that Sheeran was by far the best candidate to win the coveted award. He told the Daily Star:

"Ed's performance was special – the equivalent of Adele’s show last year. Ed is so hard working and talented. I couldn't have given the prize to anyone more deserving."

Sheeran meanwhile has spoken of his delight at the awards, calling it "one of the best nights" of his life.
