Plan B debuts brand new single, 'iLL Manors'

UK hitmaker Plan B's brand new single, 'iLL Manors', premiered on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show last night (February 27).

The track was named the 'Hottest Record In The World' by the popular DJ yesterday and a post on the BBC's site explained that although the style is incredibly different from the music on his 'The Defamation of Strickland Banks' album, its "nail biting brilliance" won Lowe over from the first listen:

"Early supporters welcomed this news knowing full well that Plan B, the rapper, would take his new found success and use it to spit that fire again. And that is exactly what he has done here."

"This is one of the finest records of the year so far. Full of urgency and suspense, it's nail biting brilliance."

The song, which is undeniably more rooted in hip hop than his previous singles and marks the return of Plan B the MC, has been met with an overwhelming positive response from fans and Plan B (real name Ben Drew) has been retweeting his followers' comments since the cut debuted.

Speaking about the offering, he explained: "You could call 'iLL Manors' bassline, soul, hip-hop. The album has the lyrical depth of my first record but the musical composition is light years ahead as it's informed by everything I've learnt in the last five years - writing, producing and playing with a live band. I feel I'm better than I've ever been."
