Queen's Brian May gets all-clear after prostate cancer scare

Queen guitarist Brian May has confirmed that he does not have prostate cancer.

The legendary axeman has undergone a series of tests recently to determine whether he has cancer after suffering pains.

He announced on his official website on Monday (January 13) that he has been given the all-clear in terms of the prostate cancer scare.

There are still some "mysteries" possibly lurking in his body, however, that are yet to be solved.

May said: "Well, I got a great call from my specialist this evening. He said...'I have good news. The result of your prostate biopsy is here, and we did not find any cancer cells'."

The Queen man continued: "So finally, as far as that vital organ is concerned, I am - thank God - in the clear. It's a great relief. I celebrated in the studio with a cup of tea. Hey...I know how to rock! There are still some mysteries to solve, but I am going to take a moment to count my blessings and get back into life in the big wide world."

May also added that he has been working on a previously unheard Queen track - featuring Freddie Mercury's vocals - that will hopefully see the light of day soon.
