Queen's Roger Taylor says it could be "logical" to record new music with Adam Lambert

Queen drummer Roger Taylor has offered his thoughts on the band recording music with Adam Lambert.

The veteran rockers and the vocal powerhouse announced earlier this month that they will be embarking on a 19-date North American tour in the summer.

It will be a rare chance for fans to catch a glimpse of the group, who have only performed sporadically over the last few years.

Speaking to the VH1 Radio Network, guitarist Brian May said that they recently found up to five previously unheard tracks recorded with late singer Freddie Mercury.

When asked if they might make new songs with Adam Lambert to make a full album out of the tunes, Taylor said that it could be a natural step.

He suggested, however, that he isn't sure if recording with Lambert - who is working on his third album this year - would happen.

The drummer said: "It’s logical. It’s a very logical thing to do, so I don’t know."

Queen and Adam Lambert's first tour date meanwhile will take place in Chicago on June 19.
