Queen and Adam Lambert confirm Japan and Korea shows

Queen and Adam Lambert have announced plans to perform in Asia this summer.

The group, who recently announced a summer North American tour, will play two festivals in Japan and South Korea.

They will hit the stage at the Super Sonic festival in Seoul, South Korea, which is taking place over August 14/15.

The group announced that they will also play the Summer Sonic festival in Tokyo, Japan, which is being held on August 16 and 17.

Speaking about the Japan date, guitarist Brian May said: "We're hugely excited to have the opportunity to return to Japan this Summer, to play concerts as Queen and Adam Lambert. We look forward to a very special reunion with our wonderful Japanese fans and friends. It has been too long!"

Singer Adam Lambert added: "It’s always a great pleasure to perform in Japan, but it is a very special honour to sing with Queen and I am so excited to bring this amazing show to Japan in August!”

The band's North America tour meanwhile is set to kick off in Chicago on June 19.
