Queen's Brian May: 'Performing with Adam Lambert has exceeded every expectation'

Queen guitarist Brian May has revealed that touring with Adam Lambert has "exceeded every expectation".

The band recently finished up an arena tour across North America and they are now heading to other regions.

Speaking on Eddie Trunk's podcast, May said that singer Lambert effortlessly brings talent and also charisma to the stage.

"It's safe to safe that it has exceeded every expectation. It is incredible. I can hardly believe what we're doing with him - it's enormous and full of joy. It's just so much joy and fun and it's very much like the old days.

"I know Freddie [Mercury] would love it - I just wish he was here enjoying it. Adam is in no way a copyist of Freddie, but he has so much of the similar kind of roots in his personality. He doesn't have to try to be funny or camp or whatever. And apparently he doesn't have to try to have an extraordinary voice."
