Adam Lambert and legendary rock band Queen have been crowned the winners of the SSE Live Awards at The SSE Arena, Wembley. 

The poll has been running since October 2015 and in total it received a phenomenal 661,000 public votes. Adam Lambert and Queen, however, earned a whopping 299,000 votes, which amassed to 45% of the total votes, making them the clear winners. 

Speaking about the momentous win, iconic guitarist Brian May said: "WOW. Nice. Well. BIG THANKS SSE Folks for a wonderful compliment. We’re very proud to be your favourite act of last year - by a huge majority. Humbled, grateful and definitely up for a rematch!"

Roger Taylor, who drums for Queen, added: “Fantastic that we have made so many people happy, 300,000 thanks!” Vocal sensation Adam Lambert also described being able to perform with Queen on tour as an "honour": "It was such an honour to play Wembley with Queen, and I am beyond humbled by this".
