Queen and Adam Lambert have confirmed a new concert in Israel.

The band will perform at Tel Aviv's Hayarkon Park on September 12.

The group will then go on to Asia for what has been described as a "major tour".

Guitarist Brian May said: "This is an amazing opportunity at last to bring Queen music live to thousands of folks who have been devoted to our music for years. Can’t wait."

Adam Lambert added: "I am excited to perform with Queen in Tel Aviv for the first time, and we’re looking forward to giving everyone a show to remember."

Tickets go on sale from 10am local time today (June 14).

The only announced date so far for Queen's Asia trip is a show at the Singapore Formula One event on September 17.
