Queen's seminal song 'Bohemian Rhapsody' has been named Britain's favourite No.1.

The news was announced on ITV show The Nation's Favourite Number One last night (July 15), which collated the results of a public poll.

Voters were asked to select their favourite tracks from a shortlist of songs that have hit No.1 in Britain.

Following Queen in second place was Michael Jackson's 'Billie Jean', whilst Adele's 'Someone Like You' was voted No.3.

Elsewhere in the list, the Oasis track 'Don't Look Back in Anger' landed at No.4 whilst 'Hey Jude' by the Beatles rounded off the top five.

Queen meanwhile have been playing a batch of shows with vocal powerhouse Adam Lambert this summer, with a trio of dates at London's Hammersmith Apollo going down a storm.
