Simon Kent to Release New Single ‘Where I Stand’

Simon Kent to release his brand new highly anticipated single ‘Where I Stand’.

Following the success of his previous single ‘Everything’s Alright’, airplay on Radio 2 and Radio 3, recording his new album and playing a sellout showcase to an exhilarated crowd at Club West One for BBC Radio it’s certainly been a busy year for Simon. Having gained sponsorship from a Pensions Administration Company, he’s now back- juggling fatherhood, a full time job and a music career- to release his brand new single ‘Where I Stand’.

‘Where I Stand’ is a glistening example of Simon’s unparalleled ability to integrate truthful, heartfelt lyrics with an inspiring pop/rock backdrop. The track was recorded at The Chemical Brothers Miloco Studios with legendary producer and engineer Phil Brown (‘Spirit of Eden’ and ‘Laughing Stock’ by Talk Talk). ‘Where I Stand’ is an invigorating blend of catchy beats, gutsy riffs and Simon’s unflawed vocals.

The single is taken from the forthcoming album ‘In Another Life’, a compilation of songs about diverse themes like nostalgia, alienation, alcoholism and the joy of fatherhood. And an album with such seemingly contrasting themes must have equally contrasting influences, with contributions from drummer Jon Callender (ex-Cure and Cranes), Giorgio Li Calzi (jazz trumpet) and Timothy Drysdale (classical piano)‘In Another Life’ is set to capture the attention of pop/rock fans everywhere.
