Rebecca Ferguson Says Fame is Hard Work But You Get “S***loads of money”

Former X Factor contestant Rebecca Ferguson has offered her thoughts on fame.

The singer shot to national recognition in 2010 after finishing runner-up on The X Factor behind eventual winner, Matt Cardle.

Speaking to the Mirror, Ferguson said that whilst there are a lot of rewards to being famous, it is hard work.

She said: "People moan to me about working in a 9am - 6pm job but some days I work 4am - 11pm. We get paid s***loads of money so we can’t really moan, but we work hard for it."

Talking meanwhile about the difficulty of holding down a relationship as a result of her job, she also added: "I can’t have a committed relationship with my job but I enjoy men’s company and being taken out on dates. On tour it’s all very well saying: 'I’m back in a month, babe'. For me it doesn’t work."
